Replacing a Motor Shaft

I am often asked how to go about replacing motor shafts on the RCX brushless motors I use. Most guys go as far as loosening the grub screw and then they tell me the shaft is stuck in the motor can. Watch the video for more information.

Important note: If your motor has a severely bent shaft, it is best to remove the C-clip and push the shaft out from the bottom as to avoid damaging your bearings. Also note that the RCX motors come with 37mm shafts but the replacement shafts I sell are 33mm. This allows for the collet adapter to sit closer to the motor can. A shorter shaft makes for a stronger shaft. Rest assured that your model will fly fine if one or two shafts are a bit shorter than the other. It makes no difference in flight.
